I posted the edited review below after a disappointing pre-theatre meal but then a very positive response from the Manager. As a result, I would like to amend people's perception.We have always enjoyed the food at Milano for many years. There has been a change of ownership this year and the Owner and Manager have a really positive attitude towards how the restaurant should be run in the future.OK, we had a poor experience on one occasion, I think we were forgotten! However, this is a really nice Italian restaurant, 1 minute walk from the Hippodrome theatre, and really friendly staff. They are attempting to adopt a fresh approach to the menu e.g. more fresh fish from the local fish market, and now are open ALL DAY 7 days a week.I would have returned despite the one adverse experience but after being treated by the Manager to lunch for me and my wife, I am delighted to recommend Milano's unreservedly.This was my previous comment which I now regret but on the grounds of openness I am keeping on this post. Thank you Antonella (Tony)"Food was really nice but it was 90 minutes after placing our order that the main course was delivered.Not the standard i expect of this quality restaurant.Postscript.After the response from the restaurant we have been invited back. As the food was so nice we are making a special trip in to Birmingham to have lunch."
